Better Off thread is a one-woman-run business. Amanda designs and stitches each piece using a 90 year-old Singer 114w103. Unlike modern computerized embroidery, this machine is manually steered from underneath with a hand crank, like drawing with thread. Therefore, each piece takes much much longer to produce and is one-of-a-kind by nature. embroidery by better off breathes new life into sustainable fashion- well loved, recycled, and thrifted garments are transformed into truly one-of-a-kind pieces.
